CASTELLO DI VICARELLO

Producer website

In Tuscany on a hard to find hilltop with views of olive groves, vineyards and rolling hills, this 12th-century Castello di Vicarello is the house of Aurora and Carlo Bacheschi Berti, who once worked in fashion and advertising in Milan. The 60-acre grounds contain a vineyard where they make Castello di Vicarello and Terre di Vico wines.

2004 Castello di Vicarello IGT

750 ml/6 pk

Shows aromas of chocolate, currant and blackberry, with a hint of Spanish cedar. Full-bodied with firm, velvety tannins and a long finish. Racy and very well-structured. Builds on the palate.

2004 Terre di Vico Toscana IGT

750 ml/6 pk

Incredible amount of aromatic wood, almost like rosewood, with hints of plum and berry. Full-bodied, with lots of ripe fruit and a lovely silky texture. Goes on and on, a beautiful wine.
